E già così fa un certo effetto leggerlo, o perlomeno si resta incuriositi e si incrociano le dita. Tutto il resto si vedrà entro pochi giorni. ... La storia? Eccola qua: scompartimento di un treno, due uomini e una ragazza stanno sonnecchiando quando all'improvviso il misterioso professor Peter Price, ipnotista e ricercatore, fa la sua comparsa. Lo fa in modo un po' impacciato, tanto che la borsa che sta trasportando cade e tra le varie cose ne esce uno strano oggetto: una sfera di metallo. La ragazza e gli altri passeggeri dello scompartimento sono subito incuriositi. Naturalmente non hanno la minima idea dei guai che incontreranno per colpa di quella palla. Il dottor Price invita i suoi compagni di viaggio ad esaminare la sfera, oggetto in grado di ipnotizzare. Poco dopo, i viaggiatori divengono i protagonisti di tre storie da incubo: L'anello della luna, storia di una maledizione etrusca; Dr Lifting, in cui una ragazza ricorre alla chirurgia plastica (in questo episodio è presente Bava nei panni di se stesso), Il guardiano del lago, dove il lago in questione è abitato da una mostruosa creatura...».

Since the movie consists of three different stories I will be reviewing each story separately so here goes. The Ring Of The Moon is a solid werewolf story where a couple of grave plunders take a ring of a mummy. When one of the guys decide to put it on, he slowly transforms into a werewolf. The werewolf transformation might be the best transformation I've ever seen actually. The story is very entertaining even though I'm not a big fan of werewolf movies in general. One of the best werewolf movies I've seen though. "A Perfect Face" is an odd story about a girl who wants to look like her friend. Well, if that doesn't creep you out itself, the hospital will. An unsettling story and definitely the best one out of the three. It's very predictable but you just can't help but to love the concept of this story. Very clever. "The Lake Keeper" involves a monster that guards a lake. This one looks like it was shot with a lower budget than the other ones since the monster looks very cheap and the special effects are awful. Pretty bad story and the worst one out of the three. You might want to skip this one actually. All in all, this was a pretty cool anthology and it almost deserves a 4 as a rating. However, the last story was just too pathetic to be true so I couldn't give it more than a three. This is definitely worth checking out for the first two stories though...».
