Provocatoriamente Kerry invita Justin ad andare a fare una visita notturna al cugino che fa il guardiano dell’obitorio. Lì potranno vedere un morto vero, nella fattispecie un certo Redford loro coetaneo scomparso recentissimamente. Giunti sul posto e scoperto che l’interruttore della luce non funziona, i due scopriranno che il cugino è morto dissanguato. L’obitorio è sotto il dominio di un pedofilo morto e vampiro. Per i due non sarà facile sfuggire al suo morso devastante. Quando si affronta il più che abusato mondo dei vampiri occorre avere almeno un’idea originale (anche se spesso non è sufficiente). In questo episodio di originale c’è ben poco perché il riferimento al coraggio che si manifesta nella virtualità del videogioco e che non corrisponde a quello reale è tra i più banali. La epidemicità del morso (chi lo subisce lo ripete ai danni di una nuova vittima) rientra nella serie del già noto. Di obitori da cui risorge il male sono pieni il cinema e la letteratura e non basta inserire la variante del vampiro pedofilo per mutare la situazione. Il fatto poi che uno dei due protagonisti adolescenti si trovi in acuto conflitto con il padre che in qualche misura vorrebbe vedere morto non fa altro che rinviare a una lettura psicoanaltica sulla funzione rappresentativa dello zombie già studiata dagli esperti in materia. In definitiva nulla di nuovo sotto il sole (pardon, nel buio che domina metà dell’episodio) tranne forse una pizza carica di aglio offerta dalla madre ignara al neovampiro».
