Milla Jovovich complice, che ha l'ambizione smodata di misurarsi con modelli del
passato francamente ingombranti (da Dreyer a Rivette, da Ingrid Bergman a
Sandrine Bonnaire) senza remore e paure. Alcune sequenze rimandano a
Braveheart, Kurosawa e all'Herzog di
Aguirre, accompagnate dall'epica ed enfatica musica di Eric Serra e, alla
fine, dai ringraziamenti - molto "jet set" - a Madonna, Sting e moglie,
Kassovitz e Kounen. Un "d'Arc de Triomphe" sempre in bilico fra ricerca e moda».

As a teenager she claimed God had commanded her to lead the son of France's late king, Charles VI, to the throne; Joan inspired French troops to beat back the English and saw Charles VII crowned.
