Ci riesce, ma i perfidi amici di un tempo lo uccidono. I figli meditano vendetta, ma Rita preferisce vederli morti piuttosto che peccatori. Il maggior difetto del film è la sceneggiatura, il maggior pregio l'interpretazione della Zareschi (1918-1999) che, quando è sola, tiene in piedi la situazione. La regia è lenta e inconsistente, gli altri interpreti sciagurati».
