In this film about a new Hamlet production, Ulrika Bengts, together with dramaturgist Mikkaela, has succeeded in creating an outstanding portrait of a group of mentally handicapped individuals with a fascinating exploration of the respective roles they play, acknowledging with sensitivity and dignity the ability and imagination of each actor. Its humorous and light-hearted approach makes this film particularly moving, for it treats the group with dignity and respect, while avoiding patronisingly pious earnestness.
