Mentre sta tramando la morte degli eredi al trono, il principe Tai Sung e la principessaaggiunge Maciste, pronto a schierarsi dalla parte degli oppressi. Il gigante prende contatto con il capo dei ribelli, Chu, che sta organizzando una sommossa contro il despota. Dopo alterne vicende che vedono ora il sopravvento di Maciste e dei ribelli, ora quello del Gran Khan e delle sue truppe, il despota viene infine ucciso e la principessa Li Ling può sposare il coraggioso Chu che ha combattuto e vinto al fianco del gigante». 

Plot Summary, Synopsis, Review: IMDb - entertainment.msn.com - dvdtoile.com - hollywoodteenmovies.com - tvguide.com: «During the 13th century ex-TARZAN star Scott saves a young prince and princess after their father is murdered by a Tartar. The princess is taken to a safe spot by rebels only to be kidnaped by the cruel Tartar, who has matrimony on his mind. Scott rescues her again and takes her to the rebels' monastery hideout. But this hideout is attacked and the prince is killed. Scott sounds "the gong of freedom" that causes enslaved Chinamen to rise up against the Tartars but gets knocked down by the swinging bell and ends up being buried alive in an underground vault created by the enemy. Using all his might, Scott causes an earthquake and escapes. Everything is resolved when the Tartars are defeated and the princess takes her rightful place on the throne. In foreign versions, Scott's character was known by the proper name "Maciste," which was changed to "Samson" in the dubbed American prints, undoubtedly to cash in on the semi-popular SAMSON films released here».
