interpretato da Adriano Braidotti che ha vinto il Mirabile Dictu - International
Catholic Film Festival del 2011. Il film pone in risalto le doti umane e di fede del
grande francescano scozzese senza trascurare la sua profondità di pensiero. Duns Scoto è nel 1303 un giovane francescano, professore all’università di
Parigi. Si rifiuta di firmare un libello del re Filippo IV che intende mettere
sotto accusa il Papa e per questo gesto si deve trasferire ad Oxford. Ritornato
anni dopo a Parigi, accetta la sfida di un collega domenicano che lo invita, in
una pubblica disputa, a difendere la sua tesi sull’Immacolata Concezione di
