Plot Summary, Synopsis, Review: en.wikipedia.org - allempires.net - cgcmall.com - baike.baidu.com - yule.sohu.com - answers.com: «Genghis Khan (Chinese: 成吉思汗) is a Chinese-Mongolian co-produced historical drama TV series based on the biography of Genghis Khan, founder of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. The series was first broadcast on CCTV in China in 2004 and was also aired on KBS in South Korea between September and December 2005. The 30 episodes long TV series chronicles the events in the life of Temujin (later known as Genghis Khan), founder of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century, and one of the greatest conquerors in history. It begins with his birth and how he struggles to survive in his childhood and adolescent years after the death of his father. With support from allies and his father's former followers, Temujin becomes the leader of the Borjigin tribe and rise to prominence as one of the most powerful chieftains in Mongolia. After spending decades on the battlefield, Temujin eventually succeeds in uniting all the tribes of Mongolia under his rule and he adopts the honorific title of "Genghis Khan" (means "supreme ruler" in the Mongolian language). Genghis Khan continues to lead his armies to attack the Khwarezmid Empire in the west and the Jurchen Jin Empire in the south, before dying from illness during a campaign against the kingdom of Western Xia».
